Who are we and how do we run?

Sherbrooke Scout Campsite is a part of the Central Notts District, which is part of The Scout Association.

It was in 1966 that the Admiral, as he was affectionately known, gave the Central Notts District the sole use of the site for as long as it was required.

The District Campsite was first developed after discussion initiated by Ron Langford, District Commissioner 1967-1975 with Rear Admiral Sherbrooke.

The Campsite has changed dramatically since then.

All of the Management Team, Sub-Committee members, Duty Wardens, Assistant Wardens and regular helpers to the site are all volunteers, and we give up our time so that people, young and old, can come to our fantastic site, have a good time, and enjoy all that Scouting has to offer.

We run fully on volunteer power, we have numerous tasks that need completing all year round, please keep your eyes open for our "Crew Weekends" and come along and help if your available.
