On Saturday 10th July, Sherbrooke Campsite played host to 1st Gedling Cubs who held a Section activity day to help complete parts of their Chief Scout Silver Award.
With some members soon moving up, the day was an ideal opportunity to complete some outstanding requirements of various challenge awards.
Throughout the day, the Cubs participated in a hike, tent pitching and with the support of the Sherbrooke Campsite team, were able develop their pioneering skills by building a rope bridge! For lunch, the Cubs got hands on by creating Cowboy Dinners, which were cooked on open fires.
Thank you to all of the Leaders and Parent helpers for running a fantastic day, which all the Cubs seemed to thoroughly enjoy.
