1st Farnsfield Scouts and many groups across the UK have took up the challenge to race round the world covering 43,000 miles in a month to help young people in Scouting that need it the most. They took on the challenge of climbing the height of Kinder Scout at home up their stairs.
This is where Gusto Group came to the rescue to help local young people with their community fund. Steff Wright, CEO of Gusto Group, attended their Kinder Scout Step Challenge to present a virtual cheque to the Scouts. Steff said “The Gusto Community Fund is there to put money back into the community allowing us to help make communities stronger.”
COVID-19 is the biggest crisis The Scouts has faced in a generation. Over 500 Scout groups are struggling to make ends meet. If they close their doors, thousands of young people will miss out on all the life-changing skills and experiences of being a Scout.
Jason Cole, Buyer at Gusto Group, who nominated The Scouts said “The community fund is selected by employees and I know The Scouts have been struggling financially. Having been in the Scouts myself and now my son, I know the enjoyment it gives so I wanted to help out. Gusto's donation is an amazing gesture.”
From everyone at 1st Farnsfield we would like to thank the Gusto Group for their contribution to help local young people. If you can help with a donation visit 1stfarnsfield.org.uk/rrtw
