After nearly 2 years of absence, the Scout Section held their Annual Night Owl competition on Saturday 9th October. A total of 13 teams took part in this years event, with the teams starting to depart around 4pm.
The 4-5 mile hike saw the Scouts overcome many challenges including teamwork, whilst also developing their map reading skills. Whilst some teams may have got lost along the way, they all made it safely back to Sherbrooke - including our District Commissioner who got a standing ovation upon his eventual return to camp!
After a good nights sleep, it was time for the results of this years competition at the presentation ceremony. District Scout Leader Mike announced that 1st Trentside were the winners of the Night Owl Trophy, whilst 5th Carlton were the winners of the Night Owl Staff!
Congratulations to all of the Scouts who took part in the weekend, and a bit THANKYOU to all of the Night Owl volunteers who walked, organised, and were checkpoint Marshalls for the evening. We are already looking forward to next years Night Owl!
